Kyoto Komachi Beer: English speaking Craft beer bar.

They really strive to carefully gather a good selection of local beer.

On a quiet street away from tourist drag but within walking distance of a lot of the tourist spots east of the Kamogawa river, this is a Craft beer Izakaya.

With an unassuming exterior, the inside is simple and well designed with a counter bar, long tables and cosy couple tables.

The main bartender is highly knowledgeable about the beer selection, and they usually have 9-12 craft beers available at one time with the selection regularly changing so you can always find new, interesting Japanese beer.

The food includes fresh fish and chips, homemade pizza, nachos, and juicy fried dumplings; all well-prepared at reasonable prices.

They have a good mix of Japanese and non-Japanese and with Craft beer at lower prices than most other Craft beer bars it makes for a nice, relaxed stop after touring the temples.
